The Darwin Fringe Festival is a ten day open access, community driven arts festival taking place annually in the beautiful Darwin Dry. The festival supports independent and diverse local artists to present work outside of the mainstream with a focus on things that you might not normally see in Darwin. It is a celebration of and for Darwin artists to allow experimentation and performance/exhibition opportunities.
The Fringe is organised by a young team of passionate and dedicated Darwin Artists. We have a new vision, a new plan and a new team to focus on supporting artists in presenting work at Fringe, harbouring a vibrant and happening hub for artists and punters to enjoy, and an exciting and cohesive festival.
The Fringe aims to showcase work that utilises unusual venues or techniques, explores experimental creative practices, or that is not normally accessible or highlighted in Darwin. Workshops and forums that provide a supportive space for experimentation, training and development for artists are also a feature.
Encompassing music, theatre, art, film and more, the Fringe is a celebration of the creativity and diversity of Darwin’s artistic community.
